An excessive portion of corn oil or oils from vegetables and other nuts is a good source of fat for the body. Moreover, some studies show that corn oil can reduce cholesterol better than other healthy oils, such as olive oil.
The content of unsaturated fats and phytosterols
One of the healthy oil categories is high in monounsaturated and double chain polyunsaturated fats. Corn oil, including oil that is rich in unsaturated fat which can help reduce cholesterol to the risk of heart disease. There are three ways corn oil can help lower cholesterol:- Replace saturated fatty acids with healthy unsaturated fatty acids.
- Suppressing low-density lipoprotein (LDL), which is often called bad cholesterol.
- Improve the ratio of LDL and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) or good cholesterol.
